When I began my career into the world of finance, my entrance was anything but conventional. Originally on a premed track, I discovered my true passion lay in helping others through the social sciences, leading me to switch from Human Biology to Economics. This pivotal decision, guided by my father's insightful advice, set me on a path to Wells Fargo, where I met my wife, Grace, and my future business partner, Richard. It was here that I realized my calling: to be a valued partner for my clients, helping them pursue their financial and personal goals while maintaining a balance that allows me to be present for my family's life events.
At Guardtower Financial Services, my role extends beyond financial planning. I relish the opportunity to mentor the next generation of financial professionals through my involvement with local universities and the UCSD Alumni Association. I constantly seek to enhance my skills, whether it's mastering complex financial topics or honing the art of clear communication. I am deeply committed to understanding my clients' aspirations and collaborating with them to pursue their goals.
Originally from Mexico City, I moved to San Diego thanks to my parents' foresight and planning, which profoundly shaped my life. My family and Guardtower are intertwined, with Grace's support being instrumental in our journey. We even spend Saturdays together at the office, instilling in our children, Vicky and Rory, the values of teamwork and shared goals. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, cooking, collecting wine, and exploring new culinary experiences and travel destinations. My passions for golf and travel keep me energized and inspired, both personally and professionally.
